Operation Grave Digger

An operation undertaken by Raw_Beef to investigate the hulk of the FEK Kabul[1]. The Kabul wreckage had remained in space since its destruction during the events of the Second Saturn Crisis. Lars Proen had remotely detonated a concealed fisson device in the SS Guadaloupe in order to deceive the Federation into believing him dead. The Kabul was caught in the explosion and rendered inoperable. Neither the Federation nor the UN possessed salvage technology to harvest the hulk.

Operational Planning

This was an independent operation undertaken by disavowed Capt. Raw_Beef without the explicit permission or participation of the UN. As a result, planning and doctrine used for this operation are unknown.

Performance

EVA personnel investigated the wreck and located a pressurized compartment. Within were the bodies of Federation naval Kapitan Scherbakov and some of his crew. Kapt. Scherbakov had evidently destroyed the ship computer's database with his sidearm and committed suicide.

Outcome

The ship log and data in its computers had been rendered unrecoverable from the explosion and deliberate destruction. Capt. Raw_Beef declined to attempt any salvage of the wreckage itself. The utility of further data recovered from the wreck is unknown. The identity of the individual wearing Kapt. Scherbakov's uniform is unknown, as the Kapitan is verified as having died of his injuries while aboard the Berlin in transit to Callisto for treatment.
